Frequently Asked Questions
What do you mean by “Premium Boarding” service?
Very often when boarding at a facility, owners pay extra for add-ons such as extra play time or enrichment or the opportunity to play in smaller group settings. We set up our experience to include every add-on for every guest at no additional charge. All guests have access to every amenity. Enrichment games, GPS trackers, puppy movies, small group play is included with every boarding. Additionally, because the services are done out of our home, pets get the comfort of being in a home environment, but because we are set up with things like a dedicated puppy room and a private backyard dog park, they get the best of both worlds! Our boarding spaces are limited to preserve the smaller group feel, so we encourage you to book as soon as possible to ensure you can get a spot!
How does booking with you work?
If you are interested in a booking, first message me and I will ask you a few questions about the service and dates you are looking for, as well as a few preliminary questions about your dog. Ideally, the next step is a quick, 5-minute FaceTime or other video chat where we can virtually meet and discuss your pet in a little more detail. If after the chat you’d like to move forward we can schedule a meet-and-greet where you can meet me in person and I will meet your pet. Finally, to officially book the service I require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking, with the remaining 50% due at the start of service.
What types of pets do you sit?
We primarily watch cats and dogs. Occasionally we will feed a small animal like a hamster during a booking that has other animals. We are not equipped to watch farm animals or birds.
What kind of boarding do you offer?
We offer premium in-home boarding to a small number of clients. Because space is limited it is our most sought-after service. Animals who do best in this environment are ones who get along well with other dogs and cats. We have comfy guest suites and snuggly beds and lots of toys for visitors to play with. If your pet isn’t a great candidate for boarding, we can care for them in the comfort of their own home.
Do you do overnight stays in a clients home?
Due to our pets and commitments, overnight stays is not something we offer.
Where do boarding dogs sleep when staying with you?
All boarding dogs are set up in a cozy and safe area for the night and dogs that are not part of the same family are separated for safety. This might look like a dog who is comfortable in a crate being in there, or baby gated in the pup room with a sofa and fuzzy bed. We use white noise machines for all areas where pups are sleeping if needed.
Please note that boarding pups will not be sleeping in owners bed or bedroom. While we LOVE snuggling with your pup, we are also committed to giving our own dogs their personal space and private time. The resident dogs here happily share their time and attention and toys and yard and home, so we’ve made the decision that they will not have to share their nighttime space as well.
